Make use of flexibility
What controllable systems can achieve
Flexible generation, storage and consumption systems can better align electricity production and consumption. Controllability, metering, availability and the appropriate market requirements are key.
Suitable options may include battery storage systems, combined heat and power plants, small hydropower plants, emergency power generators, industrial loads, HVAC systems, biogas and biomass plants, PV systems or charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
  • Simplify market accessWe take care of market access, trading, processing, reporting and billing for suitable flexible assets.
  • Keep operating limitsYou define the technical and operational limits of your system. We only use flexibility within the agreed specifications.
  • Assess potentialWe will clarify with you whether output, availability, metering and controllability are suitable for market participation.
  • Optimise battery storageBattery storage systems can be used independently, behind the meter, or in combination with wind and solar installations, and optimised across markets.
Procedure
How your system enters marketing
From the initial assessment through to ongoing operation, technical, commercial and operational clarification is required. We guide you through the process step by step.
As a guideline, installations or installation pools with available flexibility of around 500 kW or more may be suitable. The specific suitability depends on the asset and market requirements.
01Assess potentialWe classify the technical and commercial possibilities of your system and clarify which markets are suitable.02Connect installationTechnical integration is carried out via a suitable interface, an existing energy or control system, or a communication box.03Carry out test and prequalificationBefore the launch, we check communication, controllability and the necessary market approvals. If required, we support the prequalification process.04Market flexibilityWe handle market participation, dispatch, reporting and billing. Your system remains available within the agreed operating limits.
Solutions and use cases
Which flexibility would you like to use?
Depending on the installation and operating model, the technical integration, marketing and commercial structure differ. Together with you, we develop a model that suits the asset, availability and risk profile.
