How Energy Partner works

With Energy Partner, your customers can access current market prices at any time and track them transparently in the white-label customer portal. Regular price information and the presentation of price trends help them choose the right time to conclude a contract.

Based on this information, your customers can create a binding offer for the desired delivery years in just a few clicks and conclude it directly digitally. The entire process is simple, fast and requires no time-consuming manual steps.

The customer portal is designed as a white-label solution and appears entirely in your brand world. You remain in direct contact with your customers and manage the customer relationship, while BKW handles energy procurement and energy logistics in the background.

This means you benefit from efficient processing with significantly reduced effort – without volume or balancing energy risks. At the same time, your customers receive a transparent and market-oriented solution with prices that can be understood at any time.

It is also planned (as an option) to give end customers the opportunity to create their own offer.

Energy Partner options

Energy Partner is a white-label solution that enables energy supply companies to offer their end customers various procurement models.

With Energy Partner Relax, the first full supply solution is available as fixed-date procurement. Various products are possible with regard to guarantees of origin: BKW-Mix, renewable energy EU and products with a local energy mix.

Further procurement models, such as full supply in tranches or procurement on the spot market, are already in development.

Clear contractual model

Energy Partner is based on a framework agreement between you and BKW, as well as individual contracts for each of your customers. You remain the contracting party and point of contact, while BKW handles the operational implementation in the background.

Yes. Market customers can create an offer directly with the energy supplier in the white-label portal and digitally conclude the desired delivery years.

The solution is designed as a white-label portal and appears entirely in the energy supplier’s branding – including colours, logo and product names.

When a PV system is commissioned, your electricity procurement changes, and with it your electricity price. The electricity price is different every hour. On a sunny summer’s day at 14:00, there is an abundance of electricity, meaning that the electricity price can be very low or even negative. On a cold winter’s day at 8:00, consumption is significantly higher and the supply of electricity is tighter, meaning that the electricity price is also considerably higher. These price fluctuations between summer and winter, but also within a single day, have increased significantly in recent years. This is mainly due to the expansion of renewable energies. A fixed price for a full supply contract is calculated on the basis of your hourly consumption profile and the hourly electricity prices. Your individual price depends on whether you tend to consume during the more expensive or the cheaper hours. When a PV system is commissioned, your electricity procurement profile changes. You draw less electricity during the “sunny” and therefore “cheaper” hours. This increases your individual electricity price. Depending on your consumption, the price may be between 10% and 50% higher. Despite the increase, it should be borne in mind that with a PV system you generally produce and use very low-cost electricity. At the same time, you also save on grid costs for your own consumption.

The energy supplier remains responsible for the customer and contractual relationship as well as for invoicing.

The collaboration is based on a framework agreement between the energy supplier and BKW, as well as on individual contracts for each end customer.

BKW offers various GO variants for full supply, for example a standard delivery mix as well as renewable options.

Energy suppliers can also define their own certificate mixes and offer them to their customers.
